Our Process

Eric’s call to you - Within a few days of filling out the web form (usually the same day), owner Eric Boyer will call you to set up a time to meet you in your home. We will use this time to gather information, take notes and discuss expectations. you can use this time to ask any questions you have about our company and/or your project. In 2023, we find ourselves in a very busy residential construction market. Timing mentioned above may not always be adhered to. If we don't call back right away, we are swamped and may not be able to schedule more work within a reasonable time frame that we'd expect someone to be willing to wait.  If this is the case, YOU MAY GET AN EMAIL RESPONSE notifying potential clients of our current scheduling for future start dates. In this case, the best way to get your foot in the door is to express your interest in our design services, as this is how every one of our projects starts. We can do your design work even when our construction schedule is packed 6-9 months in advance. Good things come to those who are willing to wait. 

Site visit & consultation - If you are reasonably sure you would like to pursue our design services, Eric will come to your home, view your basement, discuss at length your preferences, desires, and concerns. you should expect this meeting to be 1-2 hours±.  if all goes well in this initial meeting, WE WILL BE EXPECTING TO BE RETAINED.  Giving us a check will start the process for your project. you are not committed to using us for the build out of your project, however, most will.

Design & cost estimate-  WHEN you  decide to have us do your design work, eric will take thorough laser measurements of the space, within 1 week. Most of the time (workload permitting), within 2-6 weeks, we will produce a few basement designs and then contact you for a design appointment. Once we have agreed upon a preliminary design, Eric is able to quote the cost of construction and Eric will call you to go over the numbers. Your pricing will be given to you as a lump sum.

Contract signing - Eric will come to your home to fully review the Contract, Exhibits, and Construction Clauses. Once your Contract is signed you will be placed onto the work schedule. Your 10% deposit reserves your starting position in the queue.

Construction - Although a few subcontractor specialists may be involved in your build, eric will complete framing, insulation, electrical, as well as all of the finish carpentry.

Completion - We’ll complete your job on time and on budget. Some start/finish dates will shift based upon previous clients adding additional work which is out of the scope of work of their contract. Your position in the queue is secure but it is not unusual that our clients add additional work. We ask for our clients to be patient but we guarantee when our focus is on them, they will be absolutely stunned by our attention to detail on their project.
